why people support will&able

At will&able, we often talk about creating opportunities, providing meaningful employment for neurodiverse and differently abled Kiwis and delivering eco-friendly products and services with purpose. But the truth is, we couldn’t do any of this without you, our customers and business partners.
For many, supporting will&able isn’t just about choosing a product or service. It’s deeply personal. It’s about family, fairness, inclusion and hope.
Last year, we asked why you choose to support us. Your responses were moving, inspiring, and reinforced why we do what we do. Here are just some of the stories that touched us:
1. Because it’s personal - supporting loved ones with disabilities.
For many of our customers, supporting will&able is about honouring the people in their lives - their children, siblings, parents, and friends. It’s about creating opportunities they wish existed for their own loved ones.
"My son is autistic, so I love what you stand for and how you support our community.
"I have a granddaughter in a care home. Although she is too severely limited to work, I love to think that some of her contemporaries can have meaningful employment."
"This has been one of my passions for many years, being the parent of an intellectually challenged child. Providing dignity and purpose through employment with a true wage - not just a benefit - is so important.''
"My youngest child was born with a rare brain disorder. Supporting will&able gives me hope for his future - that one day, he too may be gainfully employed.
"I have an auntie with a similar job, and she is so proud of it. It's brilliant that you’re looking after people who are so often overlooked and undervalued."
2. Because choosing will&able is an active decision to create change.
Many of you actively choose will&able because you want your purchasing power to create impact. Whether you’re buying our eco-friendly products or partnering with us for cleaning, refurbishment, or food packing services, you’re making a conscious decision to support inclusion.
"As a business owner, working with will&able is a no-brainer. We get a high-quality service while supporting an incredible mission.''
"I believe in the right for people to be treated fairly and valued for their contribution to society. I will throw my consumer dollars behind an employer showing others it can be done."
"Supporting will&able isn’t charity - it’s choosing to work with a business that puts purpose and people at the heart of everything they do."
"Every business should look at what will&able is doing and ask, ‘How can we do the same?’"
3. Because inclusion shouldn’t be an afterthought - it should be the standard. Our customers believe in a future where disability is not a barrier to employment. They know that inclusive workplaces are stronger, more diverse and better for everyone. Together, we are proving that business can be a force for good.
"Hope – hope that our kids can get work and be valued like everyone else. Your product is brilliant – great product, sustainable, and ethically produced."
"Equality opportunity - that’s important to me as someone with a sibling who has special needs."
"My granddaughter has Down Syndrome, and I would love to see her having this sort of opportunity when she is older."
"Everyone deserves a purpose. By choosing will&able, I know I’m helping create that."
A massive thank you.
As a social enterprise, we don’t exist without you. Your support allows us to hire more people, grow our impact and prove that neurodiverse and differently abled Kiwis belong in the workforce.
And if your business needs food packing, cleaning, or refurbishment services, let’s talk about how we can work together to create even more opportunities.
