where it began

where it began

In the beginning, our collaboration focused on refurbishing Air New Zealand’s onboard over-ear headsets for reuse, which to this day continues to divert thousands of items from landfills. The collaboration has since expanded to other onboard products, such as refreshing hand soaps and assembling amenity kits.

creating jobs and supporting circularity

creating jobs and supporting circularity

The Air New Zealand partnership has helped create jobs for differently abled and neurodiverse individuals while supporting the circular economy through refurbishment and reuse. By providing employment opportunities to those who may otherwise face barriers to work, this collaboration has had a profound social and environmental impact.

Together, we demonstrate the power of circular economy principles in action extending the life of products and reducing waste while creating meaningful work.

The heart of this partnership lies in the people who make it all happen.
Here are some of the incredible team members who proudly contribute to
Air New Zealand’s operations every day.

Even after 8 years, Monique states “this job still makes me happy, this place is like my home. If not for this – I would be at home doing nothing. I love working on these kits”.

Sebastian – cleaning and refilling Air New Zealand hand soaps

Having worked with us for over a decade, Sebastian appreciates both the work and the social connections his job provides. “I like working closely with Air New Zealand and the nice-smelling soap. The work keeps me busy and not lazy.”
